Is this the way it’s going to be? 2 places at once?

Photokina is going on in Koln Germany right now. It’s a brutal trip, almost 30 air hours from the west coast, I’ve been three times and I really didn’t want to go again so I reasoned with my boss to let me do the uploading and computer work from Cali. It’s worked amazingly well, I’ve been in Germany but at my desk in my office, 2 places at once again. I guess the Santa Fe workshop with Bobbi Lane was the training I needed to pull this off. I’m going on my third day awake, grabbing little naps here and there. I’m a little sleepy, but boy am I getting time to think as the blue bar races across my screen (some uploads are 45 minutes, that’s brutal at 2 am). I love this technology we have, what we can do with it if we look at every situation with fresh eyes. The relationship to photography here is bold to me, I make my best pictures when I look at the same thing and try to see it with a fresh perspective. Thank you Minor White!
